Ableton Instead of Sequencers?

So, I’ve been building my modular system for a couple of years now and have several sequencers. Every time I use one I think, “this would be so much easier in Ableton” but it also feels like cheating. Is it bad form to use Ableton as my main sequencer? I’m not a purist or anything but do have enough equipment to easily go completely dawless whenever the mood strikes. It would be nice to clear up some room for other modules though...
