So, the "Plasma Pedal"

If you haven't already seen it, it's a fuzz pedal that achieves clipping by a charged bolt across a xenon tube with some sort of radio detection involved. I'm trying to figure it out, I'm wondering if it could be modified (longer tube, different shaped tubes etc. . . ) or say if it could be made to have CV control and/or a module could be developed off this. It SEEMS like it has that potential? What do ya'll think?
