I'm currently weighing out the pros and cons for a setups that would allow me to loop a beat from my electric drum kit and add loops from my Microbrute on top of it.
My first idea was to plug each instrument into a JamMan Express XT and then plug them both into a mixer. JamSync lets the two loopers sync to each other. But I see online most people go with plugging their instruments into a mixer and feeding that into a more sophisticated looper, such as the Boss RC-505.
What are the pros and cons here? The latter setup has fewer overdubs, but you can remove loops more selectively. Are there other big things I'm missing?
