Looking for advice on semi modular synths

Hi! I got myself I pretty solid studio setup which I feel pretty comfortable with (a minilogue xd, microfreak and some volcas) but lately I started feeling an itch for generative ambiences. I particularly liked the exploration I can do on the volca modular and I was looking to expand on that. A proper modular system would be overkill and way over budget, so I was wondering if there was any good solution that fits the bill. The Microfreak has a semimodular matrix but doesn’t really allow what I have in mind.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!
