Doepfer output hum

Hello all.

I think I have just discovered the downside to having a mass of confusing cables everywhere and as such have committed a basic electrical crime.

My Doepfer A-124 Wasp filter and Doepfer A-132-3 VCA have suddenly started to emit a loud electrical hum through their outputs and any sound that does make it through is very faint and 'high-passed' sounding. I suspect this may be because I accidentally plugged something into the VCAs CV input thinking it was the output of my envelope module (same colour cable). Can't recall exactly what was being fed into the VCAs CV input for those seconds but ostensibly could have overloaded it. Not sure why the filter is doing the same but suppose they were linked.

Are my modules now dead?
