I bought an ES-8, Do I need "floating ring" cables?

What the title says: I ordered an Expert Sleepers ES8 and I have heard both that it needs floating ring and that it doesn't.

The User Manual doesn't mention them and I having a hard time finding an answer on MuffWiggler.
However the manual says:

  • Output connections: 8x 3.5mm TS jacks, DC-coupled
  • Analogue inputs: 4x 3.5mm TS jacks, DC-coupled

My understanding is that Floating ring = TRS, and regular Eurorack patch cables = TS, but I'm a noob. Does anyone know?
