Anybody else find that stereo synths sound super cool through headphones alone... but right when you try to fit them into a mix it just becomes a mess.
Feel dirty running the udo in mono but I’m enjoying it way more cause I’m not mucking with stereo features that sound cool alone but get me nowhere. . The LR phase slider becomes worthless and literally the selling point of the synth is the full oscillator for each side of the stereo spread... and I’m just using one half lol. Something about the sound is real pleasant for that ppg wave style sound though(we need wavetable reading!)
Most of the big boy vintage synths we all clamor over and love on records we’re you guessed it... mono. Don’t know why there’s such an outrage when a synth comes out in mono like the new prophet 5 or the new dreadbox poly.
