Gate vs. Trigger - Arturia Beatstep Pro vs. Endorphin.es Queen of Pentacles

Sorry, maybe stupid question, im new to modular. Im thinking about buying Beatstep Pro and Queen of Pentacles, or i like the idea of them. In the (german) beatstep pro manual the drum triggers are sometimes called "trigger", sometimes called "gate" but by the explanation there, they must be "gates".

The Queen of Pentacles on the other hand has "Trigger"-Inputs for each drum. Now if i send a single "gate"-signal there, will the Queen play a single Drumnote, or will it play one Note when gate opens and one note when gate closes? (like a negative trigger impulse?)

i know the difference of gate and trigger, just wondering if anyone has a problem like those "double drum hits" or if i am inventing this problem in my head?
