Arturia V Collection Vs. a hardware Synth??

I’m trying too understand the main differences and pros/cons of having a good hardware analog synth versus the software in Arturia V Collection 8. I have analog lab and love it but am thinking about upgrading or buying a Prophet Rev2. How do you guys feel about it? Is it worth having both? Or pointless since I’m not playing live?
