What are some of your synth exercises?

Recently I've been on quest to improve my rhythm so I've been practicing General Midi keyboard drumming and testing myself against the grid in my DAW. This got me thinking I should ask the forums if anyone has any good exercises as I really enjoy trying to level something up in between tracks.
