I'm new to the electronic music making world. Have watched hours and hours of YouTube and many threads here on youtube.
I had originally thought that the Novation SL MKiii would be in my setup but feel it would almost be a waste of money but I am unsure. I do love the fact that it integrates with Ableton and that's the biggest appeal to me at this point. I know it excels at controlling multiple hardware but I really don't think I need that capability because I believe I can produce all the sounds I need through VST's and a good synth.
I lust after the Hydrasynth because it's ease of use along with poly AT and the MK3 speaks to me because I like the idea of being able to lay down a foundation quickly and easily. I know I will be spending a lot of time in Abelton but that's fine by me
I can't make up my mind tho about which Hydrosynth I should go with. Deluxe or the Original with the MK3. I originally thought I would go with the Novation SL MKiii w/ the desktop version or explorer of Hydrasynth until I realized that I could use the Hydrasynth as a midi controller. That to me is a game changer as far as I'm concerned unless I'm missing something???
Is there a downfall to this type of setup? Please voice your opinions/ideas.
What other concerns should I have. Latency? Syncing? Should I get a midi hub? I'm such a noob. Go easy on me!
