DFAM in a Live Setting, How?

New to the idea of performing live with modular and would love to include the DFAM in a live rig.

For a general set, I see myself having two or three preestablished themes, then improvising transitions from theme to theme. Ideally, the DFAM voices would play a large part in the preestablished themes.

But dialing in preestablished patches on a DFAM seems like a living nightmare. I don't want to imagine the awkward moments of taking too long to dial something in, not getting it right, then blowing the entire set IMO.

So, how do you use the DFAM in a live setting?

Record samples at home then trigger them live?

It's impossible to get repeatable results with the DFAM, best to let it be an unrepeatable improve monster?

Live loops?
