Audio latency with HDMI vs 3.5mm audio cable

When playing my MIDI controller connected, I noticed quite some audio latency through the HDMI cable (15 metres long) connected from my PC to my Samsung TV.

I am considering buying a 3.5mm audio cable (also 15 metres) and connect that between my PC and the TV. Would that decrease the audio latency significantly?
