Help: Casio CK-500

I just recently bought a CASIO CK-500 with 2 built in tape decks! It’s able to play/dub cassettes and able to record layers played on the actual keyboard. Really cool! The only problem is the pause button is stuck ON PAUSE on the recording side so I’m no able to dub or record anything.
Has anyone fixed a stuck paused button like this before? ANY advice would be helpful at this point.
