Tips for building a small but complex percussion setup?

As the title reads I want to make a small skiff based around sending random cv to different modules to create complex ever changing patterns.

To do this I will need of course some actual modules that produce the sounds but I’m not so much worried about looking for those. What module(s) should I check out if I want to sequence percussion using randomness?
