Choosing a sampler for experimental stuff

Hello, Im looking to get a sampler maybe sometime this summer. Perfectly I would want something that can record, chop and save nature sounds and such. Basically I wanna experiment with self recorded sounds so perfectly Id be plugging a mic right into the sampler. Would Polyend Tracker or Roland SP404 Mk2 be good for that? Im basically thinking about getting either one of those 2 but any other recommendations are welcome.
