Korg sq-64 good?

I am looking at buying a sequencer as I am about to get into hardware production. I was considering getting Behringer neutron but decided to wait for the proton as it had many more useful features for how I approach sound shaping. While waiting for that and seeing how it turns out I am looking in the meantime for a good hardware sequencer.

Currently retailing at ~280$ I havev been eyeing the SQ-64. It has a lot of connectivity for modullar (which seems to be a fun rabbit hole to go into).

I have looked at the MPC One but it retails around 800$ in my country so that is a no go even though everyone recommends it

Would you recommend using this sequencer as a centerpiece for a hybrid production setup (for now)?
Do you think there are other alternatives in this price range that I could be eyeing?
