Traveling to EU /UK with vintage Roland Groovebox

I am wondering if anyone has advice about power sources/ conversions when bringing US gear to the UK/EU. I am traveling abroad with an older Roland 505, no indication of voltage in the manual except for a note that says the synth MUST BE GROUNDED. I was going to just plug it into a grounded powerstrip and then slap an adaptor on that, but then I was told NOT to bring grounded powerstrips.

Anyone from the US have experience bringing vintage gear abroad?
