midi/USB router interface?

I'm looking for a midi/USB router. I found the MRCC and mioXL. I prefer the MRCC, but they're in limited supply, and the places that have them have uncertain ETA's. I found one on Reverb, but it sold before I was able to get it. I considered getting something cheaper for now, and waiting until the MRCC becomes more available. I've seen people use cheaper midi thru boxes with way more gear than I have, so I know it can be done. The things I like most about the MRCC is the buttons on the face, and the standalone option. I'm curious if anyone else knows of a good midi/USB standalone alternative? I'm trying to stay under $500. I would consider paying more if the machine has extras like a sequencer, arp, etc..
