Newb question. Midi controller recs (details in text)

I have a behringer rd-6 and plan to get a behringer wasp and a midi controller.

One of my issues at the moment is not having a tempo readout on the rd 6.

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive midi controller that can control the tempo of the rd6 and control the behringer wasp module?
