Frap Brenso just arrived, replacing CS-L. Holy crap!

No shade on Instruo at all, the CS-L is a very capable and well-thought out module.

But the Brenso's tonal controls just blow it out of the water in terms of capabilities. Spent 20 minutes fiddling and have already discovered some crazy tones. I personally find the modulation normalisation on the Brenso far easier to remember thanks to the visual language, than the button press shortcuts for enabling/disabling normalisation on the CS-L. They have a similar setup with the central VCA for controlling the amount of various cross-modulations let through with a single knob, but Brenso's are all normalised via trimmers, so you can dial in amounts for each timbre control separately, rather than via memorised shift function latches.

The only downside over the CS-L in my opinion is the dual wavefolder setup on the CS-L makes it better for duophonic patches where you want both notes to sound relatively similar, as its' architecture is much more symmetrical.

The knobs on the Brenso I want to play with are all decent size/spacing from jacks, whilst with the CS-L my go to twiddling controls are the wavefolder slider and wavefolder symmetry trimmer, which are not the easiest to manipulate and kind of cramped in when compared to the Brenso's dedicated timbre section and jacks laid out on top and bottom of the module.

It also has nice QoL features like frequency locking, and slightly more manageable frequency knobs overall.

Not to mention Thru-Zero FM, which just makes me far more likely to use FM in the first place due to avoiding the hassle of retuning, and more musical usefulness of being able to modulate the amount of FM without going out of tune.
