Connecting MIDI Controller to Microkorg

Hey all.

I found a Microkorg on the street the other day and when I brought it home I noticed it powered up. The only issue with it is that the keyboard doesn’t work save for one or two keys.

I have a MIDI controller (the Novation Launchkey Mini) that has a MIDI out but it’s an 1/8th inch out, not a five pin. I ordered the cable and went out from the controller and into the Microkorg but I’m not getting any response in Logic. Any clue what I’m missing? Thanks !
