Minibrute 2/2s How to patch only the filter?

Just got a Rack Brute to start exploring Modular. I believe I have the answer but thought I would ask in case I was missing something obvious. Am I correct that there is no way to patch signal through the filter and get filter out before the final amp? I suppose patching to Ext in goes to a mixer that gets me Filter in, but I don’t see how to get filter out without the onboard amp. Maybe I would patch from the amp out but set its bias 100% open and run through an attenuator to dial in the signal as needed?

My time experimenting has really made me appreciate the Neutron because the Neutron allows you to patch the ins and outs of every discrete module in the box. Seems that’s not quite the case for the Minibrute 2/2s.

As a bonus question, does anyone know what level the Master input expects? If I patch the Neutrons output to it it is very quiet compared to the onboard oscillators and I can tell the Neutron is distorting (even with output all the way up and the OD set to 50% or less).
