Effects modular build

I'm new to modular and I've been looking into starting to build my own setup. I've seen some really cool effects modules and thought it would be cool to incorporate modular to my analog synth setup (digitone, octatrack, deluge and microbrute).

So I was thinking of maybe building a little effects rig.

Anyone have any good tips on some effect modules? Where to start? Etc
