Can anyone explain Mutable Instruments' Warps for me?

I'm having a difficult time finding explanations for how a couple of the modulation algorithms work in Mutable Instruments' Warps. Specifically, the wavefolder, the XOR modulation, and the comparison & rectification. The manual doesn't really explain the mechanics of the algorithms, and the few thing I found online went a bit over my head for a quick read. Can anyone offer a simple explanation of how these algorithms work?

Thanks in advance for your time!
