Has anyone tried the Fender MTG Tube Distortion pedal?

I saw the Fender MTG in a catalog recently. It looks pretty cool. It's a tube preamp. They run it at 150v, so it's a real tube in the circuit (unlike a lot of "tube" preamps).

I looked up youtube videos, but every one of them is a guitar. I wonder how well it works with synths, and how it compares to solid state and/or dsp distortion pedals.
