Can someone explain sampling using the Korg Wavestate?

I’d like to experiment with sampling using my Wavestate but I don’t really get it.

For instance, if I were to sample a single pitched sound, let’s say a note on a piano…when I upload that sample into the Wavestate will I only have that single pitch or will the Wavestate be able to play other pitches using that data? Essentially creating a new full piano?

Any guidance would be very appreciated!
